1936 Craig Wood US Open at Baltusrol 'Blonde Bomber Mid-Swing' Original Press Photo

The reverse of the photograph features an attached typed paper caption slip from the Associated Press titled "WOOD DRIVING OFF," dated June 3, 1936. The caption text identifies Wood as the New Jersey professional holding the competitive course record of 70 at Baltusrol, which was the scene of the upcoming National Open Golf Tournament. A newspaper clipping from the Herald Tribune-Acme is pasted near the top edge, detailing a later match where Craig Wood and Billy Burke defeated Ralph Guldahl and Sam Snead in the Miami Four-Ball Golf Tourney.
