1934 Famous Beverwyck Beers And Ales Tray
Here we have an impressive advertising tray for Beverwyck Beers and Ales. The tray has everything you want in an advertising piece. We have a golfer in red sweater and knickers posed at the finish of his swing with his caddie looking on. Flying overhead is a period airplane with the trailing banner “Famous Beverwyck Beers and Ales." All are nicely backdropped with a golf course scene and golf clubhouse in the background.
The Beverwyck Brewing Company was formed in 1878 in Albany New York. It operated until the start of Prohibition in 1920 but then reopened in 1933. This sizeable 12 inch diameter tray was produced in 1934 by the Electro Chemical Engraving Co. in New York and was no doubt a key advertising piece from the breweries reopening. Amazing condition with vibrant colors and nary a scratch or chip on the front. This is of the most striking golf advertising pieces we have seen.
