1933 US Open Championship at North Shore GC Program - Johnny Goodman Winner
This offering is for the difficult 1933 US Open Championship program from North Shore Golf Club near Chicago, Illinois. The stylized, vibrant red cover includes a colorful depiction of the clubhouse below the tournament's pertinent information in text. Amateur Johnny Goodman went on to win the 1933 U.S. Open (becoming the fifth and final amateur to this day to win the Championship). The closest an amateur has come to a U.S. Open title since 1933 was in 1960 when a young Jack Nicklaus was the runner-up, two strokes back. This program is very challenging to find in the condition in which it is presented in this lot, very good with only minor surface blemishes indicated by the photos.
This is the largest auction we have had to date. Please use the search button and categories tab as an option to navigate your way through the numerous lots.
