1932 Rabbit Golf Tabletop Bagatelle Game by Health Developing Apparatus Co. Inc.
This 1932 Rabbit Golf tabletop bagatelle game features a lithographed tin playing surface with a green golf-themed design. Produced by the Health Developing Apparatus Co., Inc. of New York City, the board is decorated with four spring-loaded scoring traps in white, yellow, tan, and red, labeled with point values of 100, 200, 300, and 400 respectively. The scoring layout includes various secondary point values from 0 to 500, a top center 19th Hole, and a central slot for Another Free Shot. The board is outfitted with multiple metal pins, wire gates, and a side-mounted spring-loaded metal plunger. At the base, two large cast metal bumpers sit above the final scoring slots. The bottom edge includes the printed inscription: COPYRIGHT 1932 BY HEALTH DEVELOPING APPARATUS CO. INC. NEW YORK CITY. PATENTS PENDING. The reverse side of the tin board has a textured black finish and is equipped with a wire for hanging.
