1931 USGA Year Book w/ Bobby Jones Grand Slam Year US Open and Amateur Coverage
In addition to detail results of the 1930 US Open, Amateur and
Walker Cup, this yearbook has full page photos related to the
1930 Bobby Jones victories including 1) a photo of Jones with
all his major championship trophies as well as the 1930 Walker
Cup trophy; 2) a photo of Jones being presented with the
Grand Slam clinching 1930 Amateur trophy at Merion; 3) the
1930 victorious Walker Cup team with playing captain Bobby
Jones and his team mates to include the likes of Jimmy
Johnston and Francis Ouimet and 4) Bobby Jones putting on the
18 th green at Merion in the finals of his match with Eugene
Homans and 5) Bobby Jones sinking a 45 foot putt with his last
stroke in the US Open At Interlachen
Other photos within the yearbook include 1) all the
semifinalists in the 1930 US Women’s Amateur championship
at the Los Angeles Country Club and 2) Glenna Collett
receiving the beautiful Cox Trophy at Los Angeles Country Club
for her 5 th and final US Amateur title.
Of All the USGA yearbooks the 1931 issue is probably the
