1930's Horton Smith Brown Brothers Original Photograph TYPE 1 PSA AUTH
Captured in proper post-swing positioning pose in the middle of a fairway at the stamped 'National Golf Open' or US Open is Horton Smith in the 1930's - the decade of his two Masters wins in only three playing's of the tournament in this PSA Type 1 photo! Working with natural light, the Brown Brothers lensman responsible for this leader in their photography portfolio was in the right positioning a mere feet in front of the suave champion from the verso pencil notated Joplin, Missouri. The first multi-Masters champion was framed by the professional photographer stamped on verso as the well practice camera man was paid for. Welcomed value contrast can be picked out specifically in Smith's face, belt and tie accessories, as well as the shadows on the manicured fairway (even then). PSA/DNA has deemed this photo to be the valued first highly coveted generation 'Type I' photo and it has been encapsulated #84667855 to maximize both further preservation and presentation.
