1929 PGA Championship at Hillcrest CC Contestant Badge - Leo Diegel Winner
Held at Hillcrest CC in Los Angeles, Leo Diegel defeated Johnny Farrell 6 and 4 to win his second major title. Just as the year prior Diegel had to conquer giants in Walter Hagen and Gene Sarazen on his road to the match play finals. Featured here is the difficult emerald green contestant badge in very good condition and containing its original pin that is still intact. It also represents the first major to be played in not only California, but the whole western side of the United States. The front enamel is in very good condition and allows maximum presentation value for this tough PGA contestant badge.
