1929 Dunlop Sterling Hole-In-One Sterling Silver Trophy On Plinth w/Dunlop Warwick Golf Ball
The top rim of this trophy reads “ Dunlop Golf Ball Hole-In -One Souvenir.” It was issued in 1929 to recognize the hole in one made by J. L. Kershaw of the Filey Golf Club.
The Filey Golf Club was established in 1897 and is located in North Yorkshire. The course design is credited to James Braid. The trophy cup is firmly affixed to its plinth and is in very good condtion. A later Dunlop golf ball has been added for display purposes and is included with this lot.
These trophies are becoming increasingly popular with collectors and here is a nice one to add to your collection.
