1926 'The Links' Original First Edition Book by Robert Hunter
Published in 1926, This first edition 163-page book (D&J H27280) is a must for any golf architecture library and is considered one of the finest essays on the subject. Hunter’s course designs include the beautiful Valley Club of Montecito in Santa Barbara, California, which he co-designed with Alister MacKenzie. He also assisted MacKenzie in the creation of Cypress Point and contributed to the redesign of Pebble Beach in preparation for the 1929 U.S. Amateur.
The book contains 48 full page illustrations and 10 plates of plans and maps pertaining to noted holes of English, Scotch and American courses."
