1925 Al Anderegan Gold Filled Caddy Champion Medal
In the 1920’s Caddy championships were a big thing with contests held at the club, city and sometimes state levels.
This medal must have been awarded in a significant caddy championship as the overall quality of the casting on the front of the medal, and the fact that it is gold filled attest to that fact.
Awarded in 1925 to Al Anderegan for his caddy championship victory this 1 ½ x 1 ½ “ medal has an excellent depiction to the front of a bag of clubs under a shining torch and floral arrangement.
The back of the medal is engraved “ Caddy Champion, 1925, Al Anderegan” With a “gold filled” stamp to the bottom.
For something to be considered gold filled, it must have a gold content of at least 1/20th the total weight of the item. This medal weighs 17.6 grams.
