This vintage silver gelatin press photograph, dated August 24, 1924, depicts Philadelphia golfer D. Clarke Corkran at the National Amateur Championship held at Merion Cricket Club in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The subject is captured in a medium shot, smiling while holding two golf clubs. The background shows the manicured grounds of Merion golf course with a building and other spectators in soft focus.
The verso of the photograph features a typewritten paper caption label affixed with adhesive tape.
