1911 Eastern Trade Golf Assoc. Tournament at Wykagyl Sterling Silver Winners Medal
Awarded to the winner of the Eastern Trade Golf Association Spring outing at the Wykagyl Country Club in May of 1911. A shallow relief mid-swing golfer is at the top of his swing on the frontside encircled by the 'Eastern Trade Golf Assn.' The New Rochelle, New York club was designed by renown duo AW Tillinghast and Donald Ross and opened in 1898. The private club has hosted numerous championship tournaments throughout the years, including the LPGA's HSBC Women's World Match Play Championship. The verso contains careful hand engraving reads 'Wykagyl - May 1911 - Won By.' The significant precious metal hallmark is found just below. This medal has a diameter of 1 3/8" and weighs 22 grams.
