1901 Tom Morris & St. Andrews Club House Post Card & Framed Photo
Here is a 1901 framed image of Tom Morris accompanied by an original postcard bearing the same image. The Old Tom images depict him tending the pin for a gentleman on the 18th hole at St. Andrews, Scotland. The postcard is unused and the image was taken by famed photographer, J. Valentine & Sons, of Dundee, Scotland. The postcard’s serial # is 35119 and date coded to 1901. The famed image used on both pieces was likely taken earlier than the postcard publication date. The vintage framed image is larger measuring 12 3/4" x 10 3/4.” A terrific historic combination of image and postcard of this legendary figure.
