Vintage 1933 Augusta National Golf Club Clubhouse Silverprint Postcard 1933

A postcard from 1933 is offered here. This silverprint postcard shows the Augusta National clubhouse on the front. Written in black ink is:

"Club house - East side
Augusta National Golf Club
March 1933"

Silverprint refers to the process in which the photograph was developed, "gelatin silver." The Augusta National clubhouse is believed to be the first concrete house built in the South. It was built in 1854 as the home of Dennis Redmond, owner of the indigo plantation that came before Fruitlands Nursery. It is the most famous clubhouse in golf and signifies the tradition and grandeur associated with ANGC and the Masters.
