TOP CONDITION! 1947 Masters Sunday Ticket #3278 Signed by Gene Kunes - Jimmy Demaret Winner
A 1947 Masters Tournament Sunday ticket #3278 is offered to bidders in Near Mint condition (no creases apparent to this eye) (take a look at image). This Sunday ticket measures 3" x 5" and shows no visible blemishes, with its original string still intact. This ticket is signed by Gene Kunes in vintage ble ink on the reverse of ticket, a club professional who played on the PGA Tour in its early days. Kunes played in the 1947 Masters Tournament, finishing tied for 39th overall. Jimmy Demaret would not be denied in joining Horton Smith as just the second two-time Masters winner (also won in 1940). Demaret finished two strokes ahead of runners-up Byron Nelson and amateur Frank Stranahan. Kunes' autograph appears on the back of the ticket, signed in blue ink. For those needing the 1947 Masters ticket for their collection or would just like to add a Sunday ticket in pristine condition, look no further than this lot.
James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this autograph and their certification of its authenticity will come with this lot.
