Spalding Medal 58 Wood with Brass Sole Plate
No matter what brand of club you pull from your bag, you owe some thanks to one company - Spalding. At the turn of the 20th Century, golf had stirred increasing interest in the United States, and A.G. Spalding & Brothers sporting goods saw an opportunity. The company was already selling golf balls when, in 1905, it became the first in America to offer its own brand of golf clubs. A Spalding Gold Medal driver is offered here with a strong 'Spalding Medal 58' gold colored crown stamp. The club is in good condition, with some chipping found on the head that is consistent with clubs from this time period. 41" from the top of the grip to the bottom of the heel.
