Rare Walter B. Pedersen Convex Face Niblick
While developing this club and applying for the patent, Pedersen thought that if the ball had continual contact with the face of the club, and that face had a convex shape, then that would in turn put a backwards spin on the ball. This convex face niblick has a flange, pat. pend. stamp, Mount Vernon, N.Y. Very rare to see a convex niblick and in great condition as very few were ever produced. Referenced on page 246 of Jeff Ellis' book 'ClubMakers Art Vol I'. Also on page 288 in the 2nd Edition Vol 1 of 'Clubmaker's Art'.

Fig. 1 is a side elevation of the club, shown in operative position
Fig. 2 is a view showing the upper face of the head of the club
Fig. 3 is a side edge view of the head
Fig. 4 is an end view of the head.'
