The winner of this auction will receive the once -in-a -lifetime opportunity for THREE people to experience storied Merion Golf Club (East course), one of the top-rated golf courses in the world in 2024 and site of many USGA Championships and the home of the Bobby Jones Grand Slam finale in golf - the 1930 U.S. Amateur Championship!
This package includes lunch, a pre-round warm-up on the practice range, 18 holes of golf (caddies are an optional cost), a tour of the clubhouse and archives, cocktails after the round and use of the locker room is included.
The winning bidder is asked to make arrangements within a few days after the end of the auction as there is a high demand for tee times by contacting Merion Member and Historian, John Capers III to make arrangements (call us for John’s phone # after the auction).
Proceeds from this auction will go to help support the efforts of The Golf Heritage Society in preserving the history of the game for future generations.
Merion Golf Club has hosted 19 USGA Championships from 1904 until 2024 and is already slated to host 5 more in the ensuing years.
