Jack Lemmon was not only an Oscar winning actor/entertainer, but he was also one of the nicest and most
gracious people that you could ever meet, as told by Hal Shaw, Founder of the Babe Zaharias Foundation. His golf game was lousy, but his lifetime goal was to be on the winning
team of any Pebble Beach Tournament. The galleries loved him since they could chat with him and get a personal
handshake. During one of these events, he met another player talking about this new kid on the block golf
company that he and several investors were set to introduce to the public named The Palm Springs Golfing
Company. After several months, Mr. Lemmon received a large box with his name and multiple stamps of fragile, do
not bend and do not crush. This is the set Jack got in that box. He used them for a season until finally it dawned on
him his game was suffering, and his scores were higher, so he gave them to a friend who played with them for a
while and didn’t care for their feel. That gentleman later donated them to the Babe Zaharias Foundation. A signed letter from the founder of the Zaharias Golf Foundation, Hal Shaw, will accompany this lot. 33" - 42"
