Masters Mizuno Green Golf Bag - Frank Christian Personal Augusta Bag
Here we have an incredible piece from the personal collection of Frank Christian- his personally used golf bag. This Mizuno bag is embroidered with the Masters logo and Christian's name. The bag shows some wear, as to be expected with a personally used bag. Frank Christian Jr is a third generation prominent photographer. His great uncle Juan Montell immigrated from Sicily in the late 1800s and found a passion for photography and entrepreneurship that found him photographing the land in Augusta as it transformed into the Augusta National Golf Club. His nephew Frank Christian Sr took over the business in 1927 and later became the official photographer for the ANGC, working closely with Bobby Jones and Clifford Roberts. Frank Sr retired in 1954 and handed the family business over to his 19 year old son Frank Jr. Frank Jr was not only the official photographer of ANGC, he was also commissioned by the PGA and celebrities like Frank Sinatra due to his uncanny ability to take stunning photographs with incredible speed and accuracy. The Christian name is synonymous with the Masters and Augusta National alike, making this seldom seen item likely just what your collection is missing.
