1986 US Senior Open Championship Contestant Pin - Jack Fleck
This 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" contestants pin which belonged to Jack Fleck carries the same traditional design which the United States Golf Association began employing for its Championships beginning with the 1960 Mens U.S. Open. The U.S. Senior Open which was first contested in 1980 is recognized as a major by both the Champions Tour and the European Seniors Tour. Dale Douglas would conquer the Scioto C.C. in Columbus, Ohio; a course that carries so much golf history as the home course of Jack Nicklaus and the site of Bobby Jones win in the 1926 U.S. Open. This example bearing the name of 1955 U.S. Open champion, Jack Fleck, remains in near mint condition.
