1960's Jack Nicklaus Point of Sale 12" x 17" MacGregor Cardboard Advertisement
Presented here is a well constructed cardboard point of sale piece measuring 12”x17” from the 1960’s used at pro shops offering MacGregor clubs and balls. Jack was a MacGregor guy for several decades and this piece is from the early beginnings of their relationship. We haven’t seen this advertisement before in this format but it was clearly used for golf shop countertops with its easel backing for self standing purposes. This is a very nice and early Nicklaus advertising piece which will be the perfect accent piece in any golf collection. "The Golden Bear" Jack Nicklaus won the Masters six times, 1963-1965-1966-1972-1975 and 1986. Jack also won 12 other Major tournaments, 73 PGA and 10 Senior PGA tournaments. He played on 6 Ryder Cup teams, being captain in 1983 and 1987. Jack also has been the captain of the US Presidential team in 1998-2003-2005 and 2007.
