Arnold Palmer Signed Latrobe Country Club Hat
This lot features a hat from Latrobe Country Club signed by the King himself, Arnold Palmer in black sharpie. Latrobe Country Club was founded in 1920. In the early 1960s when the course was expanded to 18 holes, Arnold and his father Deacon "Deke" Palmer contributed heavily to the design of the new holes and to the renovating of the existing holes to fit the new layout. Arnold Palmer purchased the course in 1971. Palmer, along with Nicklaus and Player, is credited with making golf popular as an every man's sport, not only for the "upper-class." 7 time Major winner, Arnie's impact on the game of golf will never be forgotten..
James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature, and their letter of authenticity comes with this lot.
