Walter Hagen Handwritten Note with Full Signature
11-time major championship winner Walter Hagen ranks as the third all-time Majors leader, trailing only Jack Nicklaus (18) and Tiger Woods (14). Had the Masters Tournament been created during his prime years on the PGA Tour, we would be talking about another golfer to join the five players to complete the career Grand Slam. His best finish at the Masters was an impressive 11th place in 1936 at age 44. Hagen won the U.S. Open in 1914 and 1919; the Open Championship in 1922, 1924, 1928, and 1929; and the PGA Championship in 1921, 1924, 1925, 1926, and 1927. A personalized note and autograph in blue ink by Walter Hagen is expected to garner a lot of interest from bidders looking to add to their autograph collection from famed golfers.
Notes reads as follows:
Dear John,
Enclosed are the autographs. As for the picture,
I will have some very soon.
My factory in G(?).R. are getting some more made up.
Please write me again soon, in case I forget. Thanks,
Walter Hagen
Note measures 4 1/4" x 7".
