1910 'The Golf Courses of the British Isles' Book by Bernard Darwin
One of the greatest golf writers, Bernard Darwin, wrote 'Golf Courses of the British Isles' a bit over 100 years ago. This famous book covers the courses spread all along the hillsides of England, Scotland, and Ireland. The original green cloth is decoratively stamped. This 254 page First Edition is illustrated with mostly color plates that are by Harry Rountree, and is a book that set the standard for excellence in the golf world's libraries. This book is offered to bidders in good-excellent condition, showing little signs of wear. Bernard Darwin was the grandson of Charles Darwin, the geologist and naturalist best known for his contributions to the evolutionary science. Bernard made a name for himself as an amateur golfer, but more notably as a golf writer. He wrote 'Golf Is My Game' with Bobby Jones and has a large number of books written about the game of golf. A 1910 'The Golf Courses of the British Isles' book in this good of condition is sure to command attention.
