Jack Nicklaus Personally Used 61 Degree N1 Lob Wedge
This lot features a seldom seen wedge used by the Golden Bear himself. Since 1963, Jack Wullkotte was Jack Nicklaus' personal clubmaker. The two became acquainted when Wullkotte worked for MacGregor and made an emergency repair to one of Nicklaus' clubs. Wullkotte started working for Nicklaus directly in 1974 and spent four years traveling the Tour circuit, making and repairing clubs for some of the most famous names in golf. Players who came to Jack Wullkotte for his clubmaking expertise include: Curtis Strange, Larry Mize, Paul Azinger, Roger Maltbie, Jim Dent, Raymond Floyd, Ben Crenshaw, Greg Norman, Payne Stewart, Mark Calcavecchia, Nick Price, Hale Irwin and dozens more.
