Bobby Jones Signed 'Golf Is My Game' Book - John Roth Collection
Encased in its attractive, original dust jacket, this first edition copy of 'Golf Is My Game' has a brilliant blue ink "10" full Robert T. Jones Jr. signature (Many copies have less desirable Bob Jones autographs)on the endpaper page. The 1960 hardback book which was written by Jones, technically grades Excellent due to corner wear, but the spine is taut and the interior pages are thoroughly crisp and clean. The photographic dust jacket, strictly graded at VG, exhibits moderate wear and chips to the edges, yet still displays handsomely while enhancing the visual appeal and overall desirability of the piece. Although the greatest amateur golfer of all-time was indeed a solid autograph signer throughout his lifetime, autographed first edition copies of this autobiography are hard to find with full signatures that are free from the debilitating effects which the spinal disease (syringomyelia)had taken on his handwriting. A fantastic signed relic from "Bobby's" later years, ideal for the Jones collector who also dabbles in vintage first edition books! James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature, and their letter of authenticity comes with this lot. With following inscription:

**THE JOHN ROTH COLLECTION**
The November Memorabilia Auction features many items from the collection of John Roth (1940-2015.) John spent 25 years amassing a collection of golf memorabilia and golf antiques that would rival most of the golf museums around the globe. John had a passion for the history and nuance of the game, its traditions and the ever-changing evolution of the manufacture of its equipment. John was a member of the Golf Collectors Society, and actively participated in many of its events around the country. John was also a long-time player in the Society of Hickory Golfers’ tournaments around the country, which honor the traditions of the game by playing with antique, wooden-shafted clubs. During his lifelong participation in the two organizations, John won or placed highly in several tournaments and made many lifelong friends with whom he found camaraderie in his pursuit of all things golf. It is his family’s wish that the items that John treasured so much find loving new homes where they can continue to be enjoyed and tell the history of the sport that meant so much to their husband and father.
