Early Blacksmith Lofter Club with Period Replaced Shaft
Here is an Early Blacksmith Lofter Club with Period Replaced Shaft. As legend has it a large group of master craftsman and woodworkers of all sorts found a nice supplemental income in the art of clubmaking in the late 1800's. While not always golf enthusiasts, through the combination of their physical skills and the demand of long noses opportunity was born. Clubs that were manufactured under these circumstances often lacked one thing, a crown or head stamp, as the part-time clubmaker did not put high importance on that finishing touch or branding. This offering features a club that seemingly could have come from those humble beginnings. There appears to be a crude marking in the replaced shaft. 38"
