Circa 1900 Ceramic Tobacco Humidor by Grimwades Stoke on Trent England
This time-period golf scene is colorfully painted on by turn of the century pottery company Grimwades Stoke on Trent England. The post swing, long nose wielding golfer has his caddie that is holding his three other clubs in awe. Dressed in formal apparel, this golfer was likely a member of a royal family. Greens, purples and blue hues grace the bowl, with tree silhouettes in the distance. The nearly 120 year old piece is in very good condition, with only slight crazing apparent throughout the piece. 4 1/4" x 5" in diameter.
