Here is a stunning early 1900's Ceramic Art Company Lenox Blue Stein with Sterling Silver Lid marked Sterling 2479 as depicted in the accompanying lot photos. Per the book Decorative Golf Collectibles by Shirley & Jerry Sprung, “Walter Scott Lenox founded the Ceramic Art Company in Trenton, NJ in 1889, but Lenox assumed complete control around 1895. In 1906, the name was changed to Lenox China Company. This pre 1906 piece contains the old CAC mark.
