'The Stymie' 1917 Print Signed in Pencil By W. Dendy Sadler - Engraved By James Dobie & Published In London LH Lefevre & Songs

W. Dendy Sadler's prints command attention when offered to the public. This piece is named 'The Stymie,' and appears to be a 1st edition printing of this title, as it has an 'SC' embossed mark to the left of Sadler's pencil signed name. Engraver James Dobie also signed this piece in pencil on the bottom right-hand side of the composition, below the image. The pair of golfers are on the green, with one putting and the other looking on and ready to score his partner. This image is 13" H x 17" W, and framed and matted to 22" H x 26" w. It is in very good condition, with only minor wear. This piece will come with a signed letter from Historian Bob Denney of the PGA, proclaiming that this item comes from their collection.
