'Golfing On Minchinhampton Common, A Hazard On The Ladies' Course' Print by Lucien Davis

As much of a daunting task hitting a golf ball in a full dress, with hickory shafted clubs on a links course would appear to be, it was the only way to play for some lady golfers around a century ago. Davis' depiction illustrated a scenic, yet challenging classic links course with a lady golfer mid-swing hitting an iron shot in front of a gallery including horse and buggies. There is a small boy that is caddying for the lady golfer, next to playing partners of hers. The colorful image is 13" H x 18" W, framed and matted to 20" H x 25" W, and is in excellent condition. This piece will come with a signed letter from Historian Bob Denney of the PGA, proclaiming that this item comes from their collection.

All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval).
