'Fifty Years of American Golf' Book Signed by Author H. B. Martin
Limited First edition, No. 203 of 355. With a foreword by Grantland Rice, this Dodd, Mead & Company, New York published book was the very first edition. There are two variations of the 1936 limited edition, one being the red cloth rare edition offered here, and the other a simultaneously issued more common trade edition. This hand numbered limited edition numbers #203 of 355 and is signed by H. B. Martin. There is also a dated "Oct. '36" inscription below his signature. This well kept historical book contains many black and white photos throughout the 423 pages, it is a prize possession for any collector, not just one of books. Dust jacket is not present.
James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature, and their letter of authenticity comes with this lot.
