Woods, Leonard, Beam & Love Signed 2002 PGA Grand Slam Hat
On the khaki brim of this 2002 PGA Grand Slam hat are the uniform black sharpie signatures of each of the four contestants including tournament champion Tiger Woods. From 1994-2006, Poipu Bay Golf Course played host to the annual PGA Grand Slam of Golf, one of the most prestigious competitions in the golf world. Each year the PGA of America invites only the winners of the four major championships—the Masters, the U.S. Open, the British Open, and the PGA Championship—to compete in the event. In the event of one of those being unable to participate, a past major winner was substituted in. This was Tiger Woods' fifth Grand Slam of Golf victory, defending his co-signers Justin Leonard, Rich Beam and David Love III. It is a clean hat, as depicted in the accompanying lot photos. 1 3/4" long x 1 3/4" wide. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot.
