William Gibson & Co. Lockwood Brown Hickory Shank Proof Niblick
This unique club helped golfers swing at a ball deep in the rough, especially helpful when playing British golf and the high grass. The heavier head gave momentum to the stroke while the anti-shank neck increases the hitting area of the face. Almost identical to the club seen on page 598 of 'The Clubmaker's Art - Vol II - 2nd Edition - Jeffrey Ellis
