Walter Hagen Signed 1956 'The Walter Hagen Story' - First Printing
Walter Hagen was the first giant of American golf who captured 11 Majors and helped raise professional golf to levels never before seen. The golfer's meticulously penned blue ink signature ('Golfingly - Walter Hagen 1956', "10" strength of autograph) has been placed in this hardcover first edition copy of 'The Walter Hagen Story'. Published in 1956 by Simon and Shuster of New York City, the 342-page tome was a memoir on his golfing career and an essay on the evolution of the professional golfer. This copy comes in excellent condition and is a true must have for every golf library.
James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed the signature and their auction letter of authenticity will come with this lot.
