Tommy Armour 1927 Lincoln Wheat Penny Card

The 1927 US Open at Oakmont saw Tommy Armour defeat Harry "Lighthorse" Cooper in an 18 hole play off. This was the first US Open at Oakmont, and the last US Open won by a foreign born golfer until Gary Player in 1965. Bobby Jones, the defending champion, finished in 11th place, the only time he finished not in the top 10 in 11 US Open appearances. A 1927 Wheat Cent card is offered here for bidders commemorating the 1927 US Open champion Tommy Armour.

Please note: This auction will end at 5:00pm EST on Sunday, April 8th, with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period. Still the lowest rate among major golf auction houses, there is a buyer's premium of 17.5% for all items. All lots are free to be bid on until extended bidding has ended.
