Tom Creavy Signed 1933 Ryder Cup Team Member Voting Method Inquiry

When it comes to obtaining PGA Champions signatures from the last 100 years, the name Tom Creavy is an elusive one for the majority of seasoned collectors. This fine example of his signature is the second that we have offered at The Golf Auction, with significant content pairing with it. Tom Creavy, to his own surprise, was left off the team and passed on as a member of the American team less than two years after winning the PGA Championship. Voicing his displeasure to the PGA on this decision is an understatement, as this two-page letter is very direct and sought answers. The letter was done on Tom Creavy's Albany Country Club yellow and black letterhead. This offering presents a unique opportunity to add a signature that comes with a story. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authentication comes with this lot. A letter of from PGA Historian Bob Denney will accompany this lot.

All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval).
