St. Andrews 'The Old Course' Pewter Flask with Course Layout - Excellent Condition with Funnel
The Old Course at St Andrews is one of the most widely recognized courses in golf. This lot features a pewter flask that measures 3 1/2" x 5 3/4" x 1" and depicts the layout of the course and on the back a copy of the scorecard. Inscription on the front reads:
"The Royal and Ancient Golf Club, which was founded in 1754 as the Society of St Andrews Golfers, is recognised world wide as the headquarters of Golf.
The Old Course was granted to the citizens of St Andrews in 1552 and has remained a public course ever since. The present club house was opened in 1854."
Flask and funnel are in excellent condition and will add nicely to any collection.
