Sam Snead Personal 1965 Grand Masters Collection Side-Saddle Putter with Signed Letter
Sam Snead won more tournaments on the PGA Tour than any other golfer with 82, including seven Major championships. Snead finished as a runner-up at the US Open four times, and a win would have put him in the same class as Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods, Ben Hogan, Gene Sarazen, and Walter Hagen as the only golfers to complete the career Grand Slam in the post-Masters era. Offered here is a Grand Masters Signature Collection putter purported to have been used by Snead in the mid to late 1960's. The putter is in good condition, and as the photographs show has indeed been used and shows wear to the head and a slight bend to the shaft. Accompanying the putter is a letter of provenance signed by Snead that also includes his career highlights. The letter states that the putter was used by him at various times in his career. It is 35" from the bottom of the heel to the top of the grip. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed the signature and their certificate of authenticity #EE96333 will come with this lot.

AUCTION CLOSING RULES:
This auction will end at 9:00pm EST Sunday, August 4th with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval)
1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins in order to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
