Ryder Cup Captain Lanny Wadkins' 1995 Team USA Captain Crest - Oak Hill Country Club
Lanny Wadkins was hand picked to serve with the distinct honor of United States Team Captain in 1995 with the international matches returning to the states and Oakland Hills Country Club. Wadkins had had extensive experience as a player wearing red, representing his country on eight occasions prior to his captaincy. Numerous events requiring formal wear took place that bi-annual week, with the blazer captain crest in this lot Captain Lanny Wadkins' identifier for those events sitting comfortably in his front pocket. It is crafted using the finest materials and with expert attention to detail. Ryder Cup collectors are well aware of the lack of opportunities to obtain captain memorabilia used in the tournament in which they reigned over. While the European team won the competition 14.5 to 13.5 at Oak Hill Country Club, this would prove to be one of Lanny Wadkins' greatest honors none the less.
