Robert Floyd's 1997 US Amateur Contestant Badge - Round of 16

Offered here is Robert Floyd's 1997 United States Amateur Championship contestants badge from Cog Hill G.C. which is comprised of metal measuring 1 1/2"x 1 1/2", and bears his name in the players section on the front of this memento. The look of this badge of player admittance has been the U.S.G.A.'s standard design on both it's U.S. Open and Amateur contestants badges dating to the late 1980's. Back carries original belt/hat clip and displays consistent wear. In this event, Robert's father Raymond was his son's caddy for only time in his amateur career. Floyd would advance to the round of 16 before falling to Ryuji Imada, 3 and 1. Matt Kuchar would go on to claim the U.S. Amateur title that year.
