Ray Floyd's PING B60 Gold Putter Awarded for PGA Senior Tour's 1995 Emerald Coast Classic Win
PING founder Karsten Solheim came up with the gold putter program. In search of a way to commemorate every victory with a PING putter, Solheim started giving out gold-plated putters in the 1970's that were built to the exact specs of the winner's model. One putter is built for the champion while the other is placed inside the PING vault in Phoenix, Az.
Here we have Ray Floyd's gold PING champions putter from his win at the 1995 Emerald Coast Classic. It was Floyd's third of three 1995 wins on the Senior Tour, and his 12th of what would be 14 career wins on that circuit. The putter which measures 37" to the heel comes in unused condition. The face of the gold-plated putter reads "Ray Floyd Emerald Coast Classic Champion 1995". Floyd's 7 under score propelled him into a playoff with Tom Wargo which he won with a birdie on the third extra hole to claim the title.
