Ram Horn Inkwell Set with Silverplate Well, Golfing Figure, Horn Tips, & Spherical Inkwells

This superb presentation of turn-of-the-century golf art is with no question a centerpiece. Believed to be from the 1890s-1900s and from Scotland, the birthplace of golf, this piece features rams horns attached to an ornate silver-plated inkwell with a golfer in the middle and vintage golf balls staggered on either side of him. The texture and craftsmanship set this piece of memorabilia apart from the others. Imagine this inkwell sitting on a desk of a golf enthusiast and member of the upper-class a century ago. It was cherished then as it will be to the winning bidder this many years later. The inkwell with horns sits 7" tall x 24" wide x 7" deep and in very good condition, as it was clearly taken care of. This relic of competition at golfs highest level comes directly from the PGA where it has resided for over 75 years. From the collection of PGA REACH, with a certificate of authenticity accompanying this lot.

This auction will end at 9:00pm EST Sunday, April 14th, with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval)

1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins in order to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
