Here we have a 44 inch hickory , manufactured in the spirit of a Simplex. The club has no identifying shaft stamps or crown markings. Was it made by simplex as a prototype or maybe a rival clubmaker was tinkering with the idea of the simplex look. The head is two toned wood, and still in good shape. Really neat club that catches everyones eye when they walk in the room. This lot comes from the Original estate of John Arthur Brown. Brown was the president of Pine Valley Golf club from 1928 till his death in 1977. His collection was amassed over decades of collecting only the best of the best in golf memorabilia. Enjoy these great pieces of golf memorabilia from a legendary club administrator, representing the USA's most famed course.
