PGA Captain Peter Townsend's 1983 Ryder Cup Badge/Clip
1969 and 1971 Ryder Cup contestant for Great Britian, Peter Townsend's personal 1983 Ryder Cup Badge/Clip is contained in this offering. The stunning badge design features red, white and blue enamel on a silver clip with a gold colored Ryder Cup trophy relief front and center. Above and below are "1983" and "Peter Townsend" engraved into the badge. The reverse contains the makers mark of Plag Debaco, along with the engraved tournament host 'PGA National G.C.' The 1983 Ryder Cup went down as an instant classic, with the United States edging out the British team by the slim margin of one single point 14 1/2 to 13 1/2. This piece is in very good condition and a great Ryder Cup addition to any collection.

All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval). 1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins in order to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
