Otto Hackbarth 1915 Forked Hosel Hickory Putter PAT. 687589 with Brass Sole Insert
Once Chick Evans started using this type of putter in the early 1910's, and using it well, people took notice. A center shafted club was Hackbarth's motivation, and he surmised that in turn would allow the club not to turn when putting a golf ball. Not a reproduction, this putter is in very good condition with original grip, metal and wood. Note that this example has the brass sole insert, when other examples would instead have lead. The putter measures 33 1/2" from heel to end.
