Original 'Robert Tyre Jones Jr. 1930' Lealand Gustavson Painting - With Hagen, Sarazen & Armour Circa 1967
This offering is for famed painter Lealand Gustavson's original painting 'Robert Tyre Jones Jr. 1930.' This painting was done in the same series as 'The Old Apple Tree Gang' and 'Shinnecock Hills in 1892.' Gustavson's has been used on The Golf Channel among other media outlets and produced the line of Sportsman's Eyrie Prints. 'Robert Tyre Jones Jr. 1930' captures the great Bobby Jones during his miraculous Grand Slam year. Jones is depicted mid-swing with Walter Hagen, Gene Sarazen and Tommy Armour looking on. Characteristic of Lealand Gustavson's painting style the original painting is detailed and uses the vibrant reds, yellows, blues and greens to catch the viewer's eye, despite content from this period often in black and white. Lealand Gustavson cemented the legacy of one of the premier golf painters and artists with this 1967 series. Image measures 22" x 17", and framed is 34" x 28". Excellent condition
