This early 20th century original ink, pencil, chalk and gouache on board illustration captures a twosome with their caddies on a less than ideally manicured part of the golf course. With both golfers in shirts and ties, one golfer looks on as the golfer in the foreground prepares to hack his ball out of the thick stuff. This piece is very detailed and uses white highlights to expand the wide range of value that is put on display by the artist in the piece. Image measures 20" x 14" while the frame is 29" x 23". Excellent Condition. A letter of from PGA Historian Bob Denney will accompany this lot.
