Multi-Signed 2011 US Open at Congressional Embroidered Flag - 40+ Autos
Offered in this lot is an embroidered flag obtained from the United States Open souvenir shop at Congressional Country Club during the 2011 U.S. Open. Over the period of who knows how many hours, quite a few by the number of signatures filling the entire scope of the flag, this beauty was autographed by the field of contestants competing for the highest honor in U.S. Golf. In the end, Rory McIlroy would win his first major title, eight strokes ahead of Jason Day. He set 11 U.S. Open records on the weekend, including the lowest total 72-hole score (268) and the lowest total under par (-16). A partial list of signors on this crammed flag include Lee Westwood, Bill Haas, K.J. Choi, David Toms, Louis Oosthuizen, Henrik Stenson, John Senden, JJ Henry, Matt Kuchar and Nick Watney.
